AQUA Subang factory received the Green Industry 2016 award from the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia for its commitment and initiative in applying the principles of clean industry in its production process. The award was handed over by the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Airlangga Hartanto, to the Head of AQUA Subang Plant, Joko Prasojo on December 20 at the Ministry of Industry Building, Jakarta.

The government gives this award to companies that are considered to prioritize efficiency efforts and effectiveness of resource use in a sustainable manner so as to harmonize the development of industry with the sustainability of environmental functions and can provide benefits for the community. The award is intended to promote efficiency improvement through cost-effective and innovative measures in the use of production, water and energy materials aimed at maintaining environmental sustainability.

The Subang AQUA factory was awarded after the assessment of documents, verification of the technical team, and direct visits to the field by appraisers from the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia. The verification and assessment process is carried out by Technical Team and Advisory Board from government, university, research institute and other related institutions.

In applying the principles of the Green Industry, AQUA Subang Factory develops various energy efficiency initiatives in the production process in an effort to preserve the environment. The initiatives include the replacement of production equipment for energy savings, the development of emission reduction programs, optimization of wastewater treatment installations, and reduced use of plastics as production materials.

The head of AQUA Subang factory, Joko Prasojo, said "Various innovations have been developed to achieve production process efficiency. In addition, we perform waste treatment in accordance with the regulations and regulations required by the government. "Joko added that by accepting the 2016 Green Industry award this further strengthens the company's commitment to continue to be a good corporate citizen.
